Welcome to the WIM Unit

The West Island Metabolic Unit, W.I.M. Unit, is a new clinic in the West Island that brings a new approach in treating high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. The W.I.M. Unit will include services from medical doctors, nurses, dietician and personal trainer.

The medical doctors and nurses will review the referred patient’s treatment and will make the necessary adjustments to help the individual achieve their respective goals. The dietician will help patients attain their goal by educating them on appropriate nutritional choices. The personal trainer will meet with the patient and suggest several exercises in order to optimize life style modification, which is crucial in reaching their goals.

The W.I.M. Unit will offer these services to patient needing support when the medical doctor pinpoints a problematic during a patients visit.

Our Mission

The West Island Metabolic Unit, W.I.M. Unit, is a new clinic in the West Island that brings an in-depth multidisciplinary approach to metabolic disorders including Dyslipidemia, Hypertension and Diabetes. The comprehensive approach will be made possible with contribution from Dietary, Personal Training and Nursing assistance.

This multidisciplinary approach will help the patient in reaching their therapeutic goals in an organized and most importantly, timely fashion. The W.I.M. Unit will also assist the patients in understanding their current health status and educate them on how to optimize their overall wellbeing and health.
